  WHAT HAPPENED?

  At a press conference, Amorim would not confirm whether Onana will start when Arsenal visit Old Trafford for their Premier League opener on Sunday afternoon. The Cameroon international spent pre-season out with a hamstring injury and was expected to return to the line-up ahead of Altay Bayindir.

The 29-year-old has three years remaining on his deal after signing for £47.2million ($63.9m) from Inter Milan in 2023 and may have a huge battle on his hands if he hopes to remain at Old Trafford for the rest of his contract.
